Networking Social Activities
You will find information about Monday networking afternoon activities. CinC 2026 Madrid.
Important: Attendees must select one of the following activities during the registration process. Please review the options below and choose the one you prefer when completing your registration. Social activities are not included in the HCP registration, see registration fees site.
Note: Some of the activities have a limit on the number of participants. Once the participant count reaches the limit, you will not be able to join the activity. The "first-come first-served" rule will be applied for these activities.
For Activists
🥾 Sierra de Guadarrama Hike
Option 1. Hike
Breathe the mountain air above Madrid! - limited to 100 participants: 50 each route.
Escape the city and discover the stunning landscapes of the Sierra de Guadarrama, just an hour from Madrid. Two routes are on offer:
Puerto de La Morcuera (1,796 m): Two route options are available:
Option 1-Route A:
From Puerto de la Morcuera, a steep ascent to Pico Najarra (2,120 m). Traverse along Cuerda Larga to the Najarra refuge. Magnificent views on both sides of the ridge: Madrid to the south, the Peñalara massif to the north. Descent to Collado de la Najarra and a moderate ascent to Pico Bailanderos (2,130 m). Return to the pass via the valley on an easy and fast traverse.
Option 1-Route B:
From Puerto de la Morcuera, a gentle ascending traverse to Collado de la Najarra. Spectacular views of the rocky formations above the Hueco de San Blas and of the foothills of the Sierra. Continued ascent to the top of Cuerda Larga toward the Najarra refuge. Flat traverse to Pico Najarra with time for photos. Impressive views of the Ayllón and Peñalara mountain ranges. Steep descent back to Puerto de la Morcuera.
Bus time: 1.5 hours each way — Estimated hiking time: 3 hours
Option 2. 🛶 Kayak in Aranjuez

Discover the Tagus River from the water! - limited to 50 participants

Enjoy a unique guided tour along the Tagus River as it flows through the Royal Site of Aranjuez, a UNESCO World Heritage landscape. Navigate the calm waters surrounded by lush riverside gardens and the iconic royal palaces, while expert guides share the rich history and natural heritage of this exceptional setting. This is a perfect way to experience Aranjuez from a completely different perspective.

Option 3. Visit to Metropolitano Stadium
A guided stadium tour.
Experience one of Europe’s finest football cathedrals!

Discover Cívitas Metropolitano, the home of Atlético de Madrid and one of the most impressive football stadiums in Europe, with a capacity of over 68,000 spectators. The guided stadium tour takes you through the players’ tunnel, the dressing rooms, the press room, and the pitch side, offering an unforgettable behind-the-scenes experience. The stadium also hosted the 2019 UEFA Champions League Final.
Option 4. Walking Tour
Madrid walking tour. Select one of the following routes.
Option 4-Route A:
Madrid de los Austrias Walking Tour. The tour begins at the outstanding Plaza de Oriente, near the majestic Royal Palace, and explores the historic center of the city developed during the Habsburg period. Along the way, visitors see important landmarks such as the Royal Palace, Almudena Cathedral, and Plaza Mayor, while learning about history, legends and the Madrilenian way of life. Of course, some tips about our gastronomy will be provided. The tour finishes at Puerta del Sol, the lively heart of Madrid. Overall, it´s a very entertaining way to provide an insight into the city’s history, architecture, and cultural importance during the 16th and 17th centuries while getting to know some restaurants and taverns to enjoy some tapas.

Option 4-Route B:
Madrid Highlights: A walking tour from Royal Palace to Prado.
This journey through history begin at Plaza de Oriente, surrounded by gardens and the imposing Royal Palace. From there, a walk along Calle Mayor, full of history and centuries-old buildings will take us to Plaza de la Villa, a medieval corner that preserves the charm of old Madrid. The nearby Plaza Mayor is the Habsburgh neiborhood heart, always lively. These streets are an amazing point to talk about Tapas and Spanish Gastronomy. Crossing Puerta del Sol, the central hub where Madrid’s rhythm beats, we will be surprised by the elegance of Calle Alcalá, Plaza de Cibeles and the museums of Paseo del Prado. This area of Paseo del Prado is part of the Landscape of Light, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Option 5. Prado Museum Highlights Tour
limited to 19 participants
Step into one of the world’s greatest art museums, where centuries of European masterpieces come to life in an unforgettable journey through art history. The Prado Museum is a treasure trove of artistic genius and cultural heritage. Outstands Velázquez’s iconic works, including Las Meninas, a true jewel of Spanish painting and Goya’s powerful and evocative pieces, from royal portraits to the haunting Black Paintings. We will also explore masterpieces that reflects the brilliance of the Renaissance and Baroque periods. And, of course we won´t forget the Bosch’s extraordinary Garden of Earthly Delights, rich in symbolism and imagination.
